With the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a training workshop was held to discuss the prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany in the field of higher education and science with the participation of Kazakh and German universities.

The training workshop was attended by more than 80 delegates from two countries from government bodies, higher and secondary vocational education institutions, scientific organizations, and representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and Scientific Research of Germany.

From the Kazakh side – General Director of the National Center for Biotechnology Aisha Iskakova, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Yeralieva, Chairman of the Board of JSC «Center of International Programs» Olzhas Sakenov, Chairman of the Board of the Science Foundation of Kazakhstan Abdilda Shamenov and others took part in this training. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further bilateral cooperation between Kazakh and German universities in the field of higher education and science. The German delegation also shared its experience in using the tools of scientific cooperation and the relationship between research and society.

It should be noted that the cooperation of Kazakhstan and Germany in the field of higher education and science should be one of the key factors contributing to the transition of Kazakh-German cooperation to a new level.
