The main topic of the visit of the German delegation was the discussion of prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany in the field of science with the participation of Kazakh, and German universities and scientific organizations.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between Kazakh and German scientific organizations in the field of biotechnology.

The guests spoke about the experience of using the tools of scientific cooperation and the interconnection between research activities and society.

In turn, Aisha Iskakova, the acting Director General of the National Center for Biotechnology informed the German delegation about the activities of the Center and told about the prospects for the development of biotechnology.           

The National Center for Biotechnology has a high potential in genomic research and genotyping. We are interested in pilot studies. We believe there is a need to strengthen bilateral partnerships on joint scientific projects and research activities» – mentioned Aisha Iskakova.
