On November 24 of this year, a ceremonial event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the LLP «National Center of Biotechnology» took place.

The event was attended by scientists, Director General of JSC National Holding «QazBioPharm» Abduraimov E.O., Director General of RSE «Research Institute of Biological Safety Problems» Kerimbayev A.A., representative of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abeldinova A.S., Director General of LLP «National Center of Biotechnology» Iskakova A.N.

Scientists of the National Center of Biotechnology were awarded for their long-term contribution to the development of science and biotechnology on behalf of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Mukanov K.K., Chief Researcher of the Laboratory of Applied Genetics, Magzumova G.K. – researcher of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Plant Breeding, Mukantaev K.N. – Head of the Laboratory of Immunochemistry and Immunobiotechnology, Hapilina O.N. – Head of the Laboratory of Plant Genomics and Bioinformatics, Kakimzhanova A.A. – Head of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Plant Breeding, K.K. Baltin – Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Genetics and Biochemistry of Microorganisms.

The National Center of Biotechnology (next-the Center) is a leading scientific institution of a biological profile. It was created by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1993. The Center carries out programs in the field of biotechnology, biosafety and agriculture, participates in grants, innovative projects, and introduces new effective developments of domestic and world science in the field of biotechnology. The scientific potential of the Center is more than 300 highly qualified specialists in the field of biotechnology, molecular biology, genetics, genetic engineering, cell technologies, microbiology, virology and proteomics.
