Awards and prizes of the National Center for Biotechnology
In 2016, for high publication activity and citation rates, according to Web of Science (Thomson Reuters), the NCB was recognized as the most cited scientific organization in Kazakhstan for 2011-2015 and was awarded the independent Science Leader award.
In 2019, the NCB was awarded the international award «Scopus award research center of the year» for the high citation of scientific works of scientists.
In 2019, a team of NCB scientists became the winner of the Eurasian Patent Office Invention Prize for the invention: «A method for obtaining biodegradable biocompatible tissue-engineered sheets using cultured fibroblasts».
In 2020, the NCB became the winner in the nomination «Leader in the publication activity of the Web of Science Core Collection» for the last 3 years among the research institutes of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the subject area «Biology and Genetics».
