National Center for Biotechnology moved into a new modern building in the left-bank part of the capital.
Construction of the National Center for Biotechnology was designed by well-known company CUH2A specializing in science and technology design. Area of the center is over 29,000 m2. The complex consists of five separate buildings connected with each other. The area of laboratory space is 10,000 m2, including 20 laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art research instruments. Vivarium has more than 4,000 m2 designed for laboratory animals. Campus area provides living space for scientists with a total area more than 6000 m2. The complex meets all scientific and environmental international standards, including standards of biosecurity BSL-2, which provide environmental and biological safety of the research.
